Terms of Use

These terms cover the CrewPoppy desktop app, the CrewPoppy phone app, this website, and any paid extras you buy from us. They are between you and Olly Digital, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KvK no. 68745532).
The software
CrewPoppy's source code is public under the PolyForm Shield 1.0.0 licence. You may read it, run it, and modify it for your own use. You may not use it to build or offer a competing product. The licence text is authoritative; this paragraph is a summary.
Your cloud account, your bill
CrewPoppy runs inside your own AWS account. Everything your agents consume — model usage, storage, requests — is billed to you by AWS directly. We never see, control or mark up that bill.
CrewPoppy gives every agent a monthly spending limit, refuses to start a run that would exceed it, and shows what has been spent. These are real mechanisms and we intend them to hold — but they are our software running in your account, and they are not a guarantee against every possible cost. Your AWS bill is the final word. Set limits you would be comfortable paying, and keep your own AWS budget alerts on.
What your agents do is your responsibility
Agents act on the instructions you give them, using the abilities you grant them, in your account. You are responsible for what they produce and what they send.
CrewPoppy will not send a message to another person without your approval, and it shows you the exact recipient and the exact text before you approve. Once you approve it, that message is yours. You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to you — including marketing, privacy and consumer rules — when your agents contact other people.
AI models make mistakes. Check what an agent produces before you act on it, and especially before you approve it being sent.
Paid extras
The phone app sells nothing. It contains no purchases, no subscriptions and no upgrades, and nothing can be paid for inside it. Paid extras belong to the desktop app and are bought on this website.
The core of CrewPoppy is free. Some extras are paid; where they are, the price and what it covers are stated at the point of purchase. Payment is handled by Stripe. You can cancel a subscription at any time and it will run until the end of the period you have paid for.
If something we charged for does not work as described, contact us at support@crewpoppy.com and we will put it right or refund you. Consumers in the EU keep their statutory rights, which nothing here limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use CrewPoppy to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- send unsolicited bulk messages, or impersonate someone else;
- harass, deceive or defraud people;
- attack, overload or probe our systems or anybody else's.
We can stop providing paid services to anyone doing these things. We cannot switch off software running in your own account, and we do not try to.
Availability
The parts that run in your account keep running whether or not our services are up. The paid extras that depend on our servers may occasionally be unavailable; we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you have paid for, we will refund the unused part.
No warranty, and the limits of our liability
CrewPoppy is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or the cost of cloud usage incurred in your own account.
Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will tell you before it takes effect.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies, and the courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
